The heart of the southern winter, from June to August, brings the coolest days and clearest skies. This dry spell is particularly well suited to hiking, cultural visits and long days on the beach, whether in the morning or afternoon, away from heavy rainfall.
The southern summer, from November to April, brings hot and humid weather to Mauritius. Temperatures rise to between 25 and 33°C, while tropical showers tend to occur in the late afternoon, particularly from January to March. This period also coincides with the cyclone season, from December to March.
